Werder’s Milot Rashica and Kosovo were in with a chance of winning for most of the game against England, but there was no upset in the end. England made sure of that with three goals in quick succession shortly before full time to make it 4-0 (1-0 HT). Rashica played the full 90 minutes of the Euros qualifier in Pristina and although Kosovo could only manage third place in their group behind England and the Czech Republic, there is still another way they can qualify for the tournament in the summer, if they are successful at the Nations League playoffs.

Johannes Eggestein, on the other hand, did not play a full game. The Germany U21s captain was subbed off at half time during his team’s 3-2 defeat to Belgium. It was the team’s first loss in a qualifier at home since 2009.

Jiri Pavlenka did not feature in the Czech Republic’s 1-0 loss to Bulgaria, but his team qualified anyway. Pavlenka was replaced in goal by debutant Ondrej Kolar.
